Confucius Institute is extremely pleased to announce the inaugural lecture of a Confucius Institute Lecture Series, “Jewish and Chinese Lunar Calendars”, at 6 PM on Thursday, September 7th, 2017.  A reception following the lecture will be held in the lobby outside the Hodges Library Auditorium at 7:30–8:00 PM.

Prof. Jacob Love of UT Department of Religious Studies will present “A Blessing Upon Not Touching the Moon: Rabbinic Musings on Space Travel” at 6:00 PM.

Prof. Megan Bryson of UT Department of Religious Studies will present “Count Your Lucky Stars: Fate and Fortune in the Chinese Lunar Calendar” at 6:30 PM.

The Event is free and open to the public.
