The Confucius Institute is located on the ground floor of the International House. The institute is sponsored by Hanban. Our partner university in China is Southeast University in Nanjing. We are dedicated to serve the people both on and off campus in the learning of Chinese language and culture. We also provide resources to enhance the understanding of China in our region and facilitate cultural exchanges between China and the state of Tennessee.
We are partnering with Southeast University in Nanjing, one of China’s oldest universities and one of its most highly ranked universities in scientific research and development.
International cooperation and exchanges play an important role in the development of Southeast University. The University of Tennessee and Southeast University work closely to make the Confucius Institute a valuable resource to enrich cultural exchanges for UT students, faculty and staff as well as people in the local community.
